Yandex Browser for Linux Review and Install Dark Reader

Download and Install Yandex Browser for Linux Latest Version here! Yandex Browser is a free web browser from Russian company which is developed by using Chromium, open source software, and started operating in October 1st, 2012.

Yandex web browser is a new browser based on Chromium and Opera from Russian search giant company called Yandex. It offers the same clean simplicity as Google’s Chrome, with a few differences.

Yandex Browser for Linux

As the browser is developed by using Chromium and resembles Opera, which is another web browser, it proves that the browser has no any significant deficiencies from Google chrome. It can be said that Yandex is combination of Chrome and Opera.

Yandex Browser has wide range of services such as translation, integration for Adobe Flash, HTML5 support, WebGL, Turbo mode, antivirus support during downloading on the internet, etc.

The similarities to Chrome are more obvious than the differences. There is the same combined search and address bar, and the general layout is the same.

When you open a new tab, however, a drop down panel of suggested or most-visited sited appears. This can be easily edited. When you type into Yandex.Browser’s search bar, as well as suggested addresses, you can also choose from one of four search engines. Next to the search bar there is also a button that takes you to the Russian language Yandex home.

Yandex Browser Review

Yandex Browser is nice design, it is combine Opera and Chrome. Memory usage is standard not too much consuming memory like Google Chrome does recently.

Overall, Yandex Browser is fast and easy to use, but there is little reason to recommend it over Chrome or other Chromium based browsers unless you use Yandex’s search and email services. If Yandex.Browser develops more of its own personality and features it could be a serious alternative browser.

We have installed and tested many browser for Linux and found a fact that the Brave browser is better than Yandex in memory usage.

Many people would like to have a bookmark system with categories (note that ELinks already supports that, marketing name Hierarchical bookmarks), and also to be able to view them and search for them in an HTML page. I have written an alternative bookmark system (for ELinks), which some people may like better than the standard bookmark system.

ELinks uses neither (n)curses nor termcap/terminfo, so unless you are using a terminal that is known by ELinks and have a built-in configuration (see below for a list), it might be required that you do a little configuring of how your terminal should be handled. The easiest way to do this is by using the Terminal Options dialog located in the Setup submenu of the Main menu.
